Progress Since Last time

I finished adding the ability to perform benchmark workouts so you can test how your fitness is improving. I also added a way to view and edit your workout history.

Adding Tasks to Walk Through the Basics

Yesterday I put out a beta build that introduces “Tasks”. When you open the app for the first time there’s a clipboard with your first task: “Log 5 Squats”.

Each task gives you a description of the action you are supposed to perform and what that feature does for your hero. Each task will give you a reward for completion. So far I’ve added 8 tasks and plan to add a couple more.

Weekly Tasks

Once you finish completing all of these introductory tasks, you will unlock “Weekly Tasks”. I have not implemented them yet, but weekly tasks will be things you can do every week to earn an extra reward.

You can perform the weekly tasks in any order. They will reset each week.

Some example weekly tasks:

  1. Accumulate 100 burpees
  2. Accumulate 100 squats
  3. Accumulate 100 push-ups
  4. Accumulate 100 sit-ups
  5. Log a benchmark workout
  6. Purchase any item from the store
  7. Use an item from your inventory

If you complete all of the weekly tasks you will also get a reward.

I’d like to add a few more weekly tasks, but haven’t figured out what they will be yet. If you have any ideas please let me know.

More Beta Spots

So far we have 13 beta testers. Later next week I plan to send out a public link so you can join the beta anonymously. I will probably limit it to 10 additional testers, for now, so keep an eye out and start testing.
