Burpee Hero Update 3

Since our last email we’ve made a lot of progress:

Added basic equippable/wearable items for our hero link. Made it so you can log multiple movements at once. Created an intro story. Added about 10 beta testers. Benchmarks

I’m putting the finishing touches on a couple of simple benchmark workouts that you will be able to perform to test your fitness level.

The first benchmark workouts will be the following.

  1. 5 minutes max burpees
  2. 2 minutes max squats
  3. max unbroken push-ups
  4. 50 sit-ups for time
  5. 40 sit-ups, 30 squats, 20 push-ups, 10 burpees for time

The app will encourage you to do these once occasionally so you can see your improvement over time.

View and Edit Your History

Once benchmarks are finished, I’ll add a simple way to view and edit your workout history. This is mostly for self auditing purposes, in case you need to make a correction or don’t remember what you’ve logged today. In the future we’ll add more sophisticated charts and reports for analyzing your workout patterns.

Better Onboarding

Based on beta tester feedback so far, I think the app needs a little better introduction and explanation. As I get the onboarding finished I will be looking to add a few more beta testers. I will probably do this via a public link with limited slots so that you don’t have to send me your apple id.
